On Wednesday July 26, 2017, Mercy Futures held their third ‘Responding in Mercy’ session on the topic 'Responding in Mercy to Refugees and People Seeking Asylum' in the Catherine McAuley Room at Mercy Congregation Centre.

Country Director of Jesuit Refugee Service, Ms Carolina Gottardo, Manager of the Arrupe Project Ms Maeve Brown and Casework Team Leader, Sarah Puls sgs, shared with those present moving and diverse perspectives on responding more mercifully towards people seeking refuge and asylum in our nation.

The Parramatta Sisters of Mercy and Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta (OLMC) have been working in partnership with Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in many areas and will continue to do so in the spirit of justice and hospitality.

The fourth Mercy Futures session is titled ‘Responding in Mercy to Domestic Violence’ and will be held on Wednesday November 22 at 7pm. Further details will be posted in this news section of our site once these have been confirmed.
