Remembering with Gratitude
On this day when we stop to remember with deep gratitude, all those who have served and continue to serve in the defence of freedom and peace in many parts of our world, the Sisters of Mercy pray for all who bear the scars of war.

As we remember with sadness past wars in which so many lives have been lost, we pray for the present areas of conflict and instability in our world.
In particular we pray for peace and justice in Syria, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Iran, Sri Lanka, Somalia, and Ukraine.
