CRA Signs Multi-faith Letter Supporting a Fossil Fuel Non-proliferation Treaty

Sisters of Mercy Parramatta Congregation is a member of CRA (Catholic Religious Australia) which has signed a multi-faith letter calling on world leaders to enact a Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Amid war and rising fuel insecurity, we call for leadership that safeguards communities facing immediate cost pressures while accelerating a just transition that reduces dependence on volatile fossil fuel markets. The Treaty would end the expansion of new coal, oil, and gas production; phase out existing fossil fuels fairly, with wealthy nations leading; and support a just transition to renewable energy for all.
