‘To live for others’
Leader of the Parramatta Sisters of Mercy Sr Margaret Jones rsm told the congregation that despite Sr Rosemary’s many achievements she saw her life and her work as having a higher purpose.
“In her mid-years Rosemary shared that her ‘long-term goal was to respond faithfully to the call of the Gospel to live for others in God in ways discerned as Mercy’.
“And her immediate practical vision was to make available ‘who I am and have become at this point of life in ways that have integrity and may serve the Church (and so Mercy) in making the world a better place in some small way’.” …
