During the month of November it is traditional to remember the deceased. In the Catholic church there are two special days that follow on each other:
November 1st is All Saints Day; November 2nd is All Souls Day.
All Saints Day is dedicated to the saints and martyrs. All Souls Day is the day remembering all who have died, the day we have to focus on all the deceased who are connected to us: our family members, our relatives, our friends.
On these days we are reminded once more that the bonds we shared do not end at death, that love goes on.
Society marks Remembrance Day on November 11, marking the end of World War One, is now observed to remember all those who have died or suffered in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
On this day we acknowledge and give thanks for the service and sacrifice of all those who have given their lives to ensure freedom and peace.
