In acknowledging the significant contribution Sr Judy has made to the Parish over the years, Parish Priest, Monsignor John Boyle stated that the list of activities undertaken by Sr Judy in the Parish extended to more than three pages in his endeavours to outline the role for any future applicant. This list, and Sr Judy's dedication and commitment to the parish, lead him to conclude that Sr Judy is simply "irreplaceable".

In addressing the Congregation at Masses across the weekend, Sr Judy spoke of the many ways her ministry in the Parish had enriched her life: through her sharing in the stories of so many parishioners; through their acceptance and inclusion of her within their homes and community; through their sharing in the sacramental life of the parish and building of the parish community together.

Sr Judy emphasised her sense of always being "amongst friends" as she engaged in her ministry as Pastoral Associate. She expressed deep gratitude to Parish Priest, Monsignor John Boyle, to the members of the Parish Office and Team, but most especially to all the Parishioners of St Bernadette's who had given her such a warm and genuine welcome on arrival, and support throughout her years in the Parish.
