In the Year of Service at OLMC Parramatta, the Class of 2019 has achieved all-round excellence in their HSC results, embracing the College’s philosophy to expand beyond what we know we can be.

Aarushi Nambissan attained the top ATAR with 97.95 and will be awarded DUX for 2019.

The College was very proud to discover Anchal Sachdeva achieved 13th place for Business Studies. She hopes to study a double degree in Business and Science at the University of Technology, Sydney.

“I am relieved and very happy. My ranking in Business Studies is a testament to my teachers at OLMC. They encouraged me to always strive for more. Providing feedback and working collaboratively with the students is something that they did exceptionally well.”

Carla Ayoub (ATAR 96.6) attributes much of her success to OLMC and the support she received. “The teachers were an amazing resource. They were always available to provide help and encouragement on both the learning side, as well as from a pastoral perspective.

Carla has her heart set on being a Mathematics teacher. “I love Maths and I am so passionate about teaching! I would like to share my gift with others and teach future generations. There is no limit to what you can learn in the subject and I am constantly discovering things that I never thought were possible.”

Principal (Acting) Marie Wood said this year the graduating class demonstrated a breadth and depth of talent with outstanding results in multiple subjects.

“I am so proud of the girls’ achievements. They are a direct result of their hard work, the guidance of their teachers and the support provided by their parents. These factors have enabled them to perform to the best of their ability, expanding what we know we can be.”
OLMC also achieved the following results:
 • 39 Distinguished Achievers
 • 13th in the State in Business Studies
 • 2 students selected for Encore Performance and Art Express exhibitions
 • 16% achieved at ATAR above 90

Established in 1889, OLMC Parramatta is a leading independent Catholic girls’ school which provides contemporary learning and academic excellence in the rich Mercy tradition.
