Responding to the Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor

In developing their Chapter Statement at the recent 11th General Chapter, the sisters drew deeply from: the richness and challenges of Laudato Si; the many resources made available in this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy; and their own deep passion for and commitment to advocacy and action on behalf of our suffering earth and the poor and marginalised. Throughout the process of the statement's development, sisters were moved and energised by the sense we were all of one mind, in our determination to continue to work for Mercy and Justice, while ever we can.
